PMiSS (2006) predates even SiBB (2007) and I feel personally this game (both pre date it as the series started in 2010 and this current arc is from 2014) is trying to capture closer to SiBB’s design more so than PMiSS since this current plot line is well SiBB

Like... the game was so good and so well made it had gotten a legitimate CnD from Capcom at the 98% completion point of the main game (legit just the final room/boss and ending where left pre CnD) later picked up and finished by fans who also added like 75% of the planned post game prior to the CnD

Some easy cheese if you like, you can just put everyone on the ship (which should have Persist and Alert to ignore Flan's Map attack twice in a row.) The only issue is predicting the opening in the danmaku, but still having the ship ferry everyone to Flan kinda trivializes this Card

Of all the named characters, if you shoot down the opposing group's healer [Lily/Daiyousei] first, EVERYONE on the opposing team cusses you out for committing a war crime, then they all cast Spirit on themselves for +10 Power

Since you have the aki sisters paired together I highly recommend making their Personal Skills the ones that “Increase thier Friendship Level” trust me you’ll see a very notable boost in their performance fighting enemies

Your on switch so press + iirk over a pair and the top most option will be change pair name The default name is “[Character Name] + [Character Name] Pair” so if you see that you’ll know if a team has 2, 1 or no pair names Back in the OG games and OG CB you could make custom names but that was cut

The fun part about being a fan of this series is seeing how small the world is in terms of fanon ideas for why/how characters hang out (A streamer I watch proposed the exact same friendship even go so far as to have mokou roster her severed limbs for Rumia after bad injuries)

In short obviously there are optimal ways to build the cast but there truly is no way to "build a character wrong" by giving them the "wrong" skills compared to what they do in their kit, just grab what you think will make the game easier/help cover x character's weakness

If it does put you at a bit of ease, there are accounts of the game being beaten with 0 investment into characters on this screen on Lunatic difficulty. Everything you give to the cast is just to have an easier time or build the characters to be even better than they already are.

Makes upgrading her odd as she doesn't want too much Mobility/Armour to get hit into critical HP threshholds, but still wants some so that her low HP buffs aren't doing all the heavy lifting for her general defensive stats (Or just let her die cause she revives with critical HP)

As other stated, not only does she gain +5 to all stats per revive, but she also has Prevail and Instinct 9, meaning the lower her HP, the higher her Hit, Evade, Defence and Crit chance. You can further amp these buffs giving her Predict, Guard or Belief depending on how you want to build her

I can definitely say it started very early, even predating MoF cause I know the Team 9 + Letty babysitting them dynamic is present in Sengoku Gensokyo (2007), and that game predates even FMW starting development. So it's most likely ANCIENT ancient fanon
