As other stated, not only does she gain +5 to all stats per revive, but she also has Prevail and Instinct 9, meaning the lower her HP, the higher her Hit, Evade, Defence and Crit chance. You can further amp these buffs giving her Predict, Guard or Belief depending on how you want to build her

Hilariously combiners actually benefit very well due to a glitch that gives the combiner unit all additional actions the non combiners have. So EXing all 3 units makes the combiner able to act 4 times a turn. Give each separate unit an Exceed Eternity and DtD and the combiner can now act 10 times

The biggest notable thing is that this makes them their own units which they were 100% not intended to be, but you now hilariously can either upgrade them individually instead of being based of Ran's stats & give them Generic Skills + Equipment (something you normally could never do)

So in short, By equipping Ran's skill that summons Zenki/Goki during the final map, they get found in the code that checks your party's Clear data when you open NG+ to select your Carry Overs. Letting them each become carry overable.

Dark Brain from 2007's OG Gaiden is the perfect encapsulation of this. A 500K+ HP beat stick that Regens 179K Per turn in a short game (34 Scenarios) you barely acquire resources. With no gimmicks tied to it. Just simple big number go brrrrrr. Can't out DPS his healing? Tough shit.

The TL is actually a repurposed and cleaned up Fan Translation from the original separate releases from 2010 - 2017. The people working on said official TL being the very same fan translators. Both the game's publisher and lead Dev specifically contacted the team cause and I quote from an interview

The story of the EN translation is also very fascinating, in which Lead Dev Sanbon saw a video upload of the ongoing LParchive of the series and took interest in realizing they had a fanbase outside Japan. This also would plant the seeds to get the game published notably on Steam

It's mostly just Sanbon (the lead dev) squeezing in some seriousness for his favorite character before she goes full modern day goober mode. I think they wanted to reflect just how much Sanae in canon changed from MoF& SA to her current iteration (at the time of making the games, so 2012/2014/2017)
