Apropos of nothing, I really do think UK journalists and politicians need some reminding that mass deportation of LEGAL immigrants, particularly those with permanent status, is far more extreme than even Trump's America and would basically place Britain completely on its own among democracies.

MPs have been told they’re due to vote on a bill pushing through disability benefit cuts at the end of May or early June. I cannot stress enough how many too sick to work will be left destitute because of these cuts. Why? B/c the assessment is deeply flawed.

I think people are considering overspend, lack of budgetary control etc regarding HS2. Also, it's not just a question of £££. It's about usefulness, environmental impact, and (both) are London centric projects when we could do with spreading development more evenly across the country.
