HELLO YES HI, ALL #EARLYMODERNISTS WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE ONE OF THESE FOR THEIR CONFERENCE OUTFIT, PLEASE AND THANK YOU, DIOR. Via @erinannmcc.bsky.social, reliable champion of #MakeRuffsGreatAgain www.instagram.com/p/DcKFnfxCNE...
screenshot from instagram with what dior thinks is a completely new concept of a separate color to wear with any clothing, and what every earlymodernists knows is just a ruff. A tiny ruff. May the battle of the ruffs start and have Chanel try to get a much larger one.

#FebOutlining I do draw my characters! I work incredibly slow because of injury, but I love being able to create my own visual aids. Plus I hope to use them as refs when/if I commission professional art. (Which I hope will happen this year, I've started my piggy bank… 👀)
Doodles of two men wearing baldrics and rapiers over aristocratic 1660s garb: short doublets, petticoat breeches, stockings, high-heeled shoes, billowing shirts, big hats with huge ostrich feathers, and tons and tons of ribbon. On the left is a short young blond white boy with blue eyes, wearing blue, pink, and silver; he has a blue-dyed ostrich feather plus two pheasant feathers in his hat. He's got a cute heart-shaped face. On the right is a tall adult white man with dark hair and eyes, a mustache and goatee, wearing purple, black, and gold, plus bright red stockings. He has a long face with some subtle smallpox scars.Lots of chibi faces of characters from a 1660-set adventure novel.
