There’s a lot of things that come to mind when it comes to Viper. You’ll Cowards Don’t Even Smoke Crack. The 347 albums in one year. His career ending with kidnapping and rape charges. But I first found out about him when he refused to pay a video editor and so he got this.

REELS.BMF
Two reels of 35 mm film. The movie is the underground cult hit “Clip/Art Film,” a documentary released in 2001 that consists solely of hand-held shots of thousands of pieces of clipart. The film is 24 hours long, which translates to nearly 150 reels of film. Given that each can of film weighs about 4 pounds, screening the entire documentary requires 600 pounds of film. Who conveys this film from screening to screening is a mystery. Who operates the projector and oversees the seamless shift from one reel to the next is also unknown. What is known is that 24 hours before a screening, the posters promoting the film flood the neighborhood, taped onto alley walls, bathroom stalls, light poles. When the venue opens up—often an abandoned warehouse or loft—the film is already underway. After it concludes, the power shuts down and the audience finds their way out in the dark. A week or two later the film arrives in a new city. Dayton. Fayetteville. Peoria, Topeka, Murfreesboro. Beaumont, Texas.

The thing about Cottagecore is that is a fetishized aesthetic of country ife, divorced from labor and idealized by a primarily urban audience with a backward looking ethos of tradition. They are not prepared for the stresses of a rural life: farming; harvesting; tapping pumpkins to ensure none of them have been replaced with flesh; losing out or ncome by having to use one of your pigs in a blood sacrifice to paint protective sigils over your doors and windows; checking cracks and chimneys for the flesh-vines of the Pumpkin Lord; having to decide pefore the Growth is complete, whether that's really your tradwife o an amassment of vines, leaves, and blood in the shape of your tradwife; ignoring their desperate pleas that "I'm me! No! No!" as you ourn them alive, realizing too late you picked wrong; and the exploitative corporate nature of commercial farming in 2024. All seen through a deeply colonial lens, of course

I reanalyzed the CDC data behind the LGB “free fall” headline. It rests on a change in bisexual identification among one grade, in one wave, of one survey. Gay or lesbian identification did not change significantly. Calling it a "free fall" is sensational and just gives bad actors talking points.
Six small line charts showing the percent of U.S. high school students choosing each sexual identity response option by grade (9th to 12th), 2015 to 2025, with 95% confidence intervals. Heterosexual falls from about 85 to 90 percent before 2021 to about 73 percent in 2021 and 2023, then rises to about 78 to 80 percent in 2025. Gay or lesbian stays between about 2 and 5 percent throughout. Bisexual rises to about 12 percent in 2021 in every grade, then among 9th graders falls to about 7 percent in 2025, its 2019 level, while other grades stay near 10 percent. “Some other way,” added in 2021, falls from about 4 percent to about 2.5 percent. “Not sure” stays near 3 to 5 percent. A dotted line marks 2021, when CDC changed the response options.

when your moral courage is so abundant that only a college can contain it en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tro...
In the book, Manji says that an Arab failure to accept the Jews' historical bond with Palestine is a mistake. Manji writes that the Jews' historical roots stretch back to the land of Israel, and that they have a right to a Jewish state. She further argues that the allegation of apartheid in Israel is deeply misleading, noting that there are in Israel several Arab political parties; that Arab-Muslim legislators have veto powers; and that Arab parties have overturned disqualifications. She also writes that Israel has a free Arab press; that road signs bear Arabic translations; and that Arabs live and study alongside Jews.[3]

Border Patrol agents tried to kill this protester at the Lochiel tree-sit blockade and there’s really no other way to read that.
One protester, who had chained themself to a gravel hauling truck for more than seven hours, shutting down wall construction yesterday, was covered in a Mylar blanket by contractors last night. Border Patrol agents started the truck, forcing the protester, who was chained near the back of the vehicle, to inhale carbon monoxide fumes for several minutes under the blanket. "Trying to suffocate them," said Kate Scott, one of the organizers who witnessed the incident.
"Then to make matters worse they began to drive the truck" Scott said, adding that she called 911 for help. A fire truck arrived but Border Patrol sent it away.

Actually this is more salient from Nerdeen Kiswani who is Palestinian and attended the action at Mamdani today
Nerdeen Kiswani @NerdeenKiswani
Genuinely not as disappointed in Mamdani as I am at all those who refuse to hold elected officials feet to the fire.
He has absolutely no incentive to deliver on the demands of the Palestine movement if we don't relentlessly make those demands. Meanwhile, Zionist organizations are doing exactly that, applying pressure and getting more and more of what they want, while people who claim to be on the left or support Palestine tell us our strategy should be to shut up.
It's absurd. You see that political pressure works.
You see Zionist organizations using it to advance their interests. Yet somehow when Palestinians do that, in the context of a genocide no less, we're accused of doing AIPAC's job for them.
There is nothing Zionist organizations would like more than for the Palestine liberation movement to silence ourselves while politicians endlessly cater to their demands. But what infuriates me even more is being lectured by Americans whose tax dollars are funding the weapons slaughtering my people.
People who not only refuse to hold their own politicians accountable or do more to stop the genocide, but have the audacity to tell Palestinians to shut up about it.
You don't get to sit comfortably in the country financing the slaughter of our people, refuse to hold your own politicians accountable, and then lecture us about how we're allowed to resist it.

the fbi long ago realized it's easier to stop terrorists if you know absolutely everything about them to begin with then if you somehow fail & the terrorists carry out whatever attack you trained them for anyways, well, that just goes to show how much more money/manpower is needed to stop terrorism

when the insights of your discipline age well (from www.harvardmagazine.com/2006/03/the-...)
"[Edward] Glaeser applies this model to anti-American hatred, which, in degree, “is not particularly correlated with places that the United States has helped or done harm to,” he says. “France hates America more than Vietnam does.” Instead, he explains, it has much to do with “political entrepreneurs who spread stories about past and future American crimes. Some place may have a leader who has a working relationship with the United States. Enemies of the leader offer an alternative policy: completely break with the United States and Israel, and attack them. We saw it in the religious enemies of the shah [of Iran]. The ayatollah sought to discredit the secular modernists through the use of anti-American hatred.”
