1/2 I'd rather websites didn't ask for email sign-up to get a useful free gift (e.g. cheat sheet pdf) but I accept it can be part of marketing for a small biz. I do like when they immediately send their 1st email (to my dedicated "Offers" address) & it has a prominent "Unsubscribe" link

When I started to take digital photography seriously I suddenly switched to Nikon after years of Canon. As an amateur, changing systems meant you were looking for value for money, particularly in glass. The D70 came bundled with what's sold way short by calling it a "kit lens". Never looked back

I recently mentioned the crazy bargains available in DSLRs as people flock to mirrorless. One that's still travelling under the radar is the Nikon D780. A lot of the Tubers laud the D750. But the 780 has everything the 750 has - plus noticeably better low-light performance. A superb camera

The way mirrorless cameras have taken over has been a huge boost - for photographers who don't particularly want or need them. In Germany at least, the secondhand market is full of top notch DSLRs, in pristine condition and at a fraction of their new price. Amazing value available #photography
