See this chart? Workers’ share of the nation’s income is at the lowest it’s been since records began in 1947. Corporate profits’ share, on the other hand, is the highest it’s been since 1950. This is why we must build back worker power.

As anthropogenic climate change triggers the collapse of the cryosphere, Himalayan valleys have become extremely vulnerable to catastrophic floods like the one in Nepal yesterday. Bhutan, Nepal, and Sikkim all have major economic, population, and cultural centers along these river valleys.

A year ago, the Swiss town of Blatter was destroyed by an ice-rock avalanche. Now hundreds are missing Nepal owing to the same kind of disaster. This only going to become more common as the climate warms.
