Idk why Bruce seems so divisive between older gens tbh lol. He's probably aged a lot better than most, even though he was never the best or the worst. But I will say his live performances > his albums, they're so good just from a general level of showmanship and variety on top of the music

Critically the highest rated season of the show (most white people on screen lmao) but some people think it stands out since it shifts character focus dramatically from s1. S3 and 4 are just Perfect TV, and 1 was a Perfect Start so 2 sometimes falls in between those

The Wire is such a triumph of writing, it changed how I watch tv and prob for the worse. Crazy what it does, not treating your audience like dumb schmucks who can't pay attention. And obv the care and detail put in by writers and actors deeply entrenched in that world gives it an incredible realness
