Went and played on a steam train today 🚂 😎

Long exposure of a moving steam train taken from a carriage near the rear of the train, as it negotiates a bend. There's a blue sky with fluffy clouds, and fields and trees and distant hills. A plume of steam and smoke is visible above the locomotive.

Moving home has been as difficult for Mr Cat as it has been for me. But we're both making slow progress, and he's beginning to relax into it 🙂

Rode up the big hill to see eclipse. Realised everyone else had the same idea 😱 Took the secret path to the lookout not many people know about 💅 Eclipse was cool. Earned my fish supper by riding down the hill to get it, then riding back to the top again. Sunset + fish + chips. Perfection 😎

Current mood. Took this in 1986, I think, in Paignton. My Martin Parr phase (it was very brief, and he'd have been in there with a wide lens and a stonking great flash, so it's not really all that Parr-esque, at all). For the camera nerds: Olympus OM1N, probably a 135mm lens, Kodachrome 64.

Minor pre house-move clear-out unearthed a few 1980s photos I'd forgotten about. This was a CND demo in Hyde Park, I think, in 1982. I was there with my best friend from school. I wonder how Jack is doing now? He didn't seem to think much of the demo at the time...
