Spotted this post about the blocklist and just wanted to clarify. The blocklist was set up under that name because at the time a bunch of horrible "polite" British transphobes were trying to worm their way in, so it was a means to stop that in its tracks. Since then we cover any and all transphobes

one of my subscribed blocklists "a very british bigotry" is specifically meant to catch british transphobes (and it workS Well at that) but it Will sweep u americans if they're unusually weird or obnoxious about it

Jessie Gender's ban shows what we all know. Bluesky, especially its Trust & Safety team, will only begrudgingly protect trans people and will prioritise the feelings of bigots. If they had ever done their job, this list wouldn't need to exist. But they're getting worse all the time.

Lots of useless UK journalists have been trying to both sides the reaction to the UK Supreme Court ruling on Wednesday. I've seen a huge influx of burner accounts solely set up to inflict pain on trans people. These journalists should ask themselves if that's the actions of a non-bigoted group.
