Nowadays we have 10 minute videos, closer feature parity with Twitter, and tools like Blacksky's Acorn that are meant for building communities (although perhaps a bit overkill in this case). Had those been a thing during the initial wave perhaps things would've been different.

Sometimes I wonder if I could've kept imastwt on here if I pushed for community. Things like feeds. A bit late for that now but hindsight is 20/20 This image bot idea is on that wavelength, as they would now serve the community by giving iM@S artists more exposure in addition to the posts

WordCraft in its alpha state is very fast even on old/slow hardware, but if the things I've heard about AI writing badly optimized code are true, it might end up being slower than LibreOffice by the time it's feature complete, given how the thing is entirely vibe coded

Yes Fluxer does support hardware security keys (as well as synced passkeys). Passkeys in general work well on web but support is a bit spotty on the native clients though (Can't save new passkeys on macOS, can't login on Android)
