Lol I didn't expect this to actually work, let alone run well given how SteamCMD was misbehaving (had to rsync already installed server files) 12v12 with bots on Upward the lowest tick rate I saw was in the 30s during an intense firefight, wasn't annoying or anything Pixel 9, default Terminal app

My testing suggests BLAKE3 is faster than SHA-256 even on a Pentium III. I included SHA1 and MD5 for reference. All software is the latest from the Debian 12 repos, Pentium III Coppermine 667 MHz

Screenshot of a macOS iTerm window where I have SSH'd into my retro PC and benchmarked how fast the /bin/perl program can be hashed with various algorithms via hyperfine. The benchmark results are:

200.4 ms for sha256sum
121.3 ms for b3sum
96.5 ms for sha1sum
55.2 ms for md5sum

Very late update, but I was able to get the silver and gold fish trophies from the Fishing Tourney with all that fish bait #NintendoSwitch2 #AnimalCrossing #ACNH

I've been thinking about what Ubuntu (MATE) used to look like recently, and I found a theme that brings it back. It's like seeing an old friend again github.com/lah7/Ambiant...

I discovered @ceruleanweb.neocities.org a few months ago and it's basically this. It's pretty jank and missing a lot of features but I love how my retro PC with a Pentium III running Windows Me can access Bluesky natively, and run well no less!

One kernel compile to add hidraw later, and it works! Passkeys on RISC-V is possible!

A screenshot of GNOME Terminal on Ubuntu 24.04, showing the output of two commands, 'fido2-token -L' and 'uname -p'. The first command shows a YubiKey being detected, and the second has printed 'riscv64' to show it is being run on a RISC-V system.

It's been known that security keys like YubiKeys don't work on the images that StarFive provides for the VisionFive 2, and I think I've figured out why

More image bot weirdness, for those who enjoy it lol Seems to be an issue on Bluesky's side this time around, but this only affects the thumbnails so it'll go away in a few days

Screenshot of a post from the Iori Image Bot showing the image get cut off part way. You can see Iori's head and Mami's forehead and ponytail, but Ami and Hibiki were consumed by the corruption.

Screenshot of a post from the Chihaya Image Bot showing the top of Chihaya's head. The rest of her has been consumed by the void. Oddly, a duplicate of the corrupted image is shown further down.

Screenshot of a post from the Yayoi Image Bot showing one of the tips of Yayoi's pigtails, with the rest of her having been consumed by the void. Similarly to the Chihaya Image Bot, a duplicate of the corrupted image is shown further down.

If I could I would allow even people who don't follow me to get notifications for my posts, for the people who do that lol

The new Bluesky option on allowing post notifications. The text reads:
"Allow others to be notified of your posts
This feature allows users to receive notifications for your new posts and replies. Who do you want to enable this for?"
There are three choices: Anyone who follows me (selected), Only followers who I follow, No one

Ever since they added the OAuth account management to the PDS, it started to log me out for no reason. I visited the account management page and I got this lol It must think there's a session because normally it would just take you to a log in page if you don't have an account saved

#DailyNozomi Day 1 💜 There is already a decent amount of Nozomi Tojo on Bluesky — but there could always be more! Surely posting an idol daily like this hasn't already been done before, right? Here is Nozomi in her Snow halation outfit for the first day, a classic combo! #NozomiTojo
