A cartoony Micron ink pen drawing of my character Vexie VaVroom the stylish robot: she sports bright white silicon 'skin', horns, two antennae, and vent-like ears on her head, a long holographic hairdo that can display all sorts of patterns (here it has dots), and in lieu of legs moves around on treads. She wears her usual ensemble; a long sleeved top with houndstooth trim cuffs and wavy cut on the bottom edge, a long skirt with a patterned rectangle design reminiscent of mod fashion, silver chain necklaces, and dramatic oblong silver hoop earrings with sprocket-like sawtooth outer edges and heart charms on the inside. Here we see Vexie in the middle of a strut: we see her from the side as she trundles to the right, dynamically leaning back as she does so, head turned to us with a confident and dainty closed-eyes smile, arms relaxed and swaying back and forth. The linework is sharp yet loose and somewhat angular; I tried to capture the dynamism of her gait.

A second Micron pen cartoon of Vexie - she wears the same outfit as the previous drawing, and she is rendered in lines that are slightly bolder and a bit more softer edged. This time, Vexie stands straight upright, her pose pointed forward and slightly rightward, and appears to be surprised or having a eureka moment. Just what has her so caught off-guard or inspired isn't seen or certain.

junkbot redraw

Using markers on a tiny 2 inch-by-2 inch canvas, I've recreated the famous image of Junkbot, from the classic Lego web game of the same name, reading the "help wanted" section of a newspaper and looking to the side with a sneaky grin. Junkbot is an orange, boxy robot whose body is made of a regular Lego brick, topped with a sloped brick with a retractable panel on the angled part, and with a yellow plate brick on top. They have a square "recycle" symbol on their side, and everything about and around them is angular (my strokes aren't entirely exact, but they came close). Junkbot sits in their home with a green carpet and a lavender-and-light blue vertical striped wallpaper, with a crochet frame reading "I (Heart Symbol) TRASH" on the wall. They have an opened-up piece of newspaper with the headline "HELP" upon it, and the entire scene is bordered by a metallic frame with rivets at the corners.

Many games for the GameCube use only a fraction of the storage capacity of the disc. I have analyzed the data to determine what the maximum number of retail Mario games that can fit on a single disc would be, creating the Luigi & Wario + Puzzle + Rhythm Maximum Value Pack.

$A GameCube disc has a storage capacity of 1.46 gigabytes. Many Mario games use only a fraction of that storage. Below is the optimal distribution of the smallest Mario-related games on the system to fit 6 entire retail games on a single disc. Using genAI in a project intended to criticize genAI or corporate vices at large gives me the same vibe as subscribing to a hateful right-wing streaming service to disparage its shows. Any rightful criticism is outweighed and undermined by that the reviewer gave those horrible people money.

i like it when everything is suddenly derailed by blatant product placement, as if the facade is coming loose, but it only happens twice in what we've got so far. so far it doesn't feel as unnervingly artificial as it could be - also, there's just no "good way" to use genAI at this rate
