building models have been a pain in the ass wish they made more push fit like the ones in Armageddon

I’m just gonna make up my own

That’s awesome! I’m building up a custom space marine chapter very slowly

I didn’t know you were playing ultramarines!

the space marine codex made some numbers bigger and then took out basically all the most common sources of rerolls, + to wound, and lethals vs monsters & vehicles, so you actually play with the units and not just bash detachment special rules together it feels so wild nobody is noticing that

also seriously these models are made for twelve year olds but I am a grown-up with gigantic hands and the parts are fiddly as hell

010

I’m just going to make my own, maybe I’ll give it a website

100

I mean, these are space marines, I’m going to have to *start* with batch painting

100

yeah, this is gonna be weird — I’ve watched a ton of minipainting videos but have never actually fully painted a mini so soon I will have no excuse

AkivaMCohen @akivamcohen.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

me watching @drruler.bsky.social drop models while airbrushing: you idiot. those are expensive. butterfingers. me building my first army: *picking my model up from the floor for the third time, radiating shame*

there’s an old military yarn about a soldier who pulled the pin on a grenade and threw the pin instead of the grenade

what percentage of americans are ever in a frat? I never went to a college with them and I've never heard "there are a few bad ones but the institution is important" from a politician, which is an impressive level of untouchability given every time they make news it's something stupid or monstrous

can someone introduce me to the person at games workshop that made the hellblaster squad models i just want to talk

010

not really a space marines chapter, more of a space marines zine

I don’t care about kristi noem’s marriage. I want to know if the girlfriend of the founder of antifa is still in custody. I also want to know if they have made a single arrest of anyone from antifa. Last year the president said they’re a terrorist organization, so there must be arrests. Right?

space marines build update: infiltrators ready for prime (5) incursors read for prime (5) intercessors ready for prime (10) currently building: hellblasters still on sprue: gravis captain bladeguard veterans currently supervising: mister boy

prepare yourself for pulse-pounding excitement this week as an old man with terrible vision will attempt to build the dark angels combat patrol while being supervised by his weird cat

gorilla glue, a hobby knife, a jar of tamiya extra thin plastic glue and a pair of godhand nippers are sitting on top of the dark angels combat patrol instructions

can't sleep still thinking about dev patel as james bond "rin aren't you a lesbian" I HAVE EYES

Dev Patel looking fine af in grey slacks and a grey suit jacket (but it's long? like a regular jacket?) and a white shirt that has a tasteful V neck, just a little. He has his hands in his pockets and is looking at the camera with mild interest, a sort of "hey man, 'sup" look on his face. I want to bite him.

btw have you seen/played ‘king of the colosseum?’ It’s extremely popular at my LGS and I’m shooting to get into some games of that once I get more of these models built

100

100% agreed, she’s fantastic! I remember when her channel launched and everyone went bananas. Yikes, I’ve been watching minipainting videos since back then! What’s your favorite lore for a deeply lore-allergic person? :)

mister boy has taken neysha’s spot on the couch neysha is not very happy about this but she has popcorn and she’s rolling the dice

I mean, it’s been leaked. It’ll be out soon but yeah major buffs involved especially for terminators but oath of moment no longer exists I think the plan is to keep codex space marines as the ‘average’ and adjust around it for the rest of the factions

100

I think I’m allergic to lore, but I love mini painters on YouTube and the Poorhammer Podcast hosted by @drruler.bsky.social and @onekuosora.bsky.social. It’s been fun so far, I guess we’ll see where it goes!
