I have a friend who has some larger looms, and she's agreed to weave it for me. I want to make a wall hanging for my dad. 10 x 18 or 18 x 24. Depends on how much I can get done.

I comb the more hairlike fiber out, but she hasn't had too much of it so far. I will also say it varies, likely because she's a cross breed. Some parts are so fine and soft, but most of it is an average softness that would be ok against skin.

Day 4, 5, and 6 I was working with Jacob sheep roving from marlin farms fiber mill. I think I'm going to ply and set the twist today. Make some super chonk yarn. #tourdefleece #handspun #yarn

Days 2 and 3! Day 2 was slow and rocky. I noticed my tension line had frayed a bit, and the uptake was all off. I prepped my fiber and spun what I could. Day 3, the tension line snapped. After adjusting, we were finally flying. #tourdefleece26 #tourdefleece #handspinning #yarn #fiberart

I was able to use @allaroundartisan.bsky.social 's Drum carder for the first time on Sunday. I can be seen fluffing the fibers and picking out debris. Soon, it'll be ready for felting or spinning, and it'll be time to clean another batch! 🧶 #handspinning #wool #felting

Recently, @allaroundartisan.bsky.social and i purchased raw fleeces from the sheep walk ranch. Mine is a Jacob x churro cross Artisan's is a karakul #handspinning #fiber #wool

Artisan is gently squeezing (but not twisting) the water out so it doesn't carry a lot into the next rinse

@allaroundartisan.bsky.social and I attended Texas Wool Week at the Sheepwalk Ranch! I took a class on the boom loom and one how to judge a fleece. And picked up a karakul, Jacob, and Jacob x churro fleeces for processing. Also took 1st and 2nd in beginner level skein contest #spinning

Knitted this bag for the dice I'm giving a friend. 🧶 I was just gonna make it a rectangle with a draw string, but I ended up trying a few things. I pulled the bottom together with a draw string and sewed it shut. Very happy with the results #knitsky #knitting

Well I didn't finish it in time but I was very close. I have under one year of knitting practice and I believe I bit off just a little more than I could handle. I would like to make some throws but l think I'll just do simple striping. Blocking it as best I can now. 🧶 #knitting #knitsky
