Day 4, 5, and 6 I was working with Jacob sheep roving from marlin farms fiber mill. I think I'm going to ply and set the twist today. Make some super chonk yarn. #tourdefleece #handspun #yarn

Days 2 and 3! Day 2 was slow and rocky. I noticed my tension line had frayed a bit, and the uptake was all off. I prepped my fiber and spun what I could. Day 3, the tension line snapped. After adjusting, we were finally flying. #tourdefleece26 #tourdefleece #handspinning #yarn #fiberart

I was able to use @allaroundartisan.bsky.social 's Drum carder for the first time on Sunday. I can be seen fluffing the fibers and picking out debris. Soon, it'll be ready for felting or spinning, and it'll be time to clean another batch! 🧶 #handspinning #wool #felting

Recently, @allaroundartisan.bsky.social and i purchased raw fleeces from the sheep walk ranch. Mine is a Jacob x churro cross Artisan's is a karakul #handspinning #fiber #wool

Artisan is gently squeezing (but not twisting) the water out so it doesn't carry a lot into the next rinse

@allaroundartisan.bsky.social and I attended Texas Wool Week at the Sheepwalk Ranch! I took a class on the boom loom and one how to judge a fleece. And picked up a karakul, Jacob, and Jacob x churro fleeces for processing. Also took 1st and 2nd in beginner level skein contest #spinning

Knitted this bag for the dice I'm giving a friend. 🧶 I was just gonna make it a rectangle with a draw string, but I ended up trying a few things. I pulled the bottom together with a draw string and sewed it shut. Very happy with the results #knitsky #knitting

Here's some photos from Kerrville Fleece and Fiber Fest! It's our second year attending. We picked up some fleece to process and got to hear Katie from Right Choice Shearing speak! We entered some of our skeins to be judged for feedback. Results below. #fiberart #handspinning

Just under one year of experience. She entered both drop spindle and acoustic wheel spun. Heritage wool, fine wool, and mixed.

I entered one skein and took first in my category.

My husband crocheted a hat just in time for the festival. This was his first project.

He's still going strong making dinosaur plushies.

One of the German angora rabbits sold by Rowdy Ranch.

His name was Skittles, and he was so sweet.

These guys have to be hand shorn every 3 months.
