Academic friends, does anyone have access to Carole Levin's 'All the Queen's Children: Elizabeth I and the Meanings of Motherhood', from the journal Explorations in Renaissance Culture 30.1 (Summer 2004)? I would be v.v.grateful for a copy - making it down to the BL is tricky while on mat leave!

I am SO RIDICULOUSLY proud that my new intro to Measure for Measure for Oxford World's Classics is out today!! I became obsessed with this play as an A Level student – 18 years later, Shakespeare's exploration of abuse of power and female silencing is discomfortingly relevant in a post-#MeToo world.

Early modernists on bluesky, I have a question! I'm looking for interesting half-sibling relationships - especially onstage, but also elsewhere (fairy tales are all of interest, as are real half-siblings). I'd love to know your thoughts!

1) Premature babies need incubators 2) Incubators require electricity 3) There is no electricity in many Gaza hospitals Embrace warmers can regulate a baby's temperature without electricity. They're designed for medically underserved areas, but help in conflict zones, eg 🇺🇦 Let's send some to Gaza♥️

Le Guin started writing A Wizard of Earthsea at the beginning of September 1966. Charles, her husband, took over the kids as soon as he was done grading finals and she finished the first draft two days before Christmas.

Hey I wrote something on the blog about that twee witch merch, historical inaccuracy, and the horrors of capitalist profiting off forgotten victims. You know, a little Friday treat! going-medieval.com/2023/10/20/y...

Can you hear the increasing desperation of Jews to get this point across? A synagogue has already been firebombed in Berlin. A Jewish woman on the NYC subway was punched in the face. This is just the beginning. Please help educate your friends and family about the difference between Jews and Israel.
