I love my bike. My favourite kind of gig is one involving bicycles and music in any way. And... one's coming up! Exeter Library's bike day, Saturday 8th August. At 11am bring your bike to play Trevor Wishart's Bicycle Music. And there will be more bicycle music following. Ting-ting!

There is the risk that some events at London Climate Action Week will be cancelled this week because of an extraordinary heatwave. The @metoffice.gov.uk has just upgraded to red alert on Wedneday with London at 40°C. Previous June record was 35.6°C. This is an emergency.

It gets worse - apparently some people have been adding comments like this when explaining their reason for proposing #StormBP, #StormEquinor, #StormExxon, #StormShell and #StormBigOil on this Met Office form: www.metoffice.gov.uk/forms/name-o...
Screenshot from form on Met Office website. A box headed "Reason for name choice(s) (optional) has been filled out: "In recognition of the outstanding contribution made by these fossil fuel giants to the extreme weather we're seeing as a result of climate change, with storms, floods and heat waves devastating communities across the world."
