Huge congratulations to our new Calleva Assistant Conductor, Michal Oren, on her win at the Evgeny Svetlanov International Conducting Competition in Birmingham, this weekend. Michal won both First Prize and the Orchestra’s Prize at the Competition, which was streamed live on MediciTV 🥳

📢 Just announced: Michal Oren is announced as our 2026/27 Calleva Assistant Conductor. The news follows two days of auditions at Lighthouse, Poole during which seven shortlisted candidates competed for the position. The winner was selected by a vote from the Orchestra’s musicians.
