Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 04/02/2025WOW! What an amazing launch for Twisted50 Vol3! I had the best time presenting awards to the winning writers. It was wonderful to see @kate_elisa123 @londonswf (AKA Chris Jones) @elinorperrysmith @darkmarkwriting and a huge thank you to @lanes_library_ and @michela.hibbett for coming with me! 121
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 30/01/2025I would be exactly the same. 😉 Another reason to love Google Docs. But needs must! You're a star, Bev. Thanks for the help. 000
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 30/01/2025Thank you. I've never bought an Apple product in my life. Crazy right! I'm currently working on a Chromebook. I like Google Docs so much better than MSWord but the industry standard is Word. I will also need to get the new version of Final Draft. 100
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 30/01/2025Interesting. Thank you. I didn't know that was an option. I always buy new. The budget is £800 but if I can get it for less than fab. 000
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 30/01/2025This one is for the writers. I need a new laptop. Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I haven't bought a laptop in six years. Many thanks. 200
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 16/12/2024Thank you for sharing this. I had to turn down a book deal when the pandemic happened in order to support my kids with their educational and emotional needs. People called me a failure and said I'd given up. Nope. I paused for 5 years rather than giving up on my kids when they needed me the most! 020
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 16/12/2024I've worked for Waterstones for five years. It's a new obsession for readers. People are loving them. 100
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 16/12/2024Thank you to everyone who joined the Krampus live chat over on @talespointhorrorbookclub with me, @chelleytoy, @joshwinning.bsky.social and special guest @dawnkurtagich.bsky.social It was such a fun chat. I loved the comments. You guys are hilarious! 😂 040
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 06/12/2024Delivered some bookish cupcakes to @waterstonesashford today and was given a lovely tour of the new bookshop. I'll post a video of the shop over the weekend once the locals have had a chance to visit. Well done to Alfie and the Ashford team. You've done an amazing job. The shop looks beautiful! 📚✨️ 030
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 04/12/2024Yes! I leave books all over the house too. My middle daughter only read Manga and graphic novels for the longest time. One day, she went to my bookshelf, chose a novel and read the whole thing. Then she read another and another. Mind blown! 110
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 03/12/2024I agree. A lot of parents tell their kids what to read. This never works. As a bookseller and a mother of three, I suggest showing kids every type of book and then allowing them to CHOOSE. Works like a charm. 😊 0166

They're the books that make us readers, shape us at the deepest levels, and stay with us FOREVER. That's why I think children's books are the most important books of all! #kidlit #books 1121465

Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 17/11/2024I've been at Canterbury Waterstones for a year (five years as a bookseller and three years running events) and what a year it has been! Transferring to a bigger bookshop was a little bit scary but it was the best decision. Thank you to all the authors who came to visit. You are awesome! 🎉 5163

Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 14/11/2024Clever! Wel done, Marianne. If there are any booksellers that can go on a list, I think that would be really useful too. I don't know any other fellow booksellers here but I'm sure there must be some. 230
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 22/01/2024Loved this dark fantasy for children aged 9-12. #childrensbooks 020

Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 03/12/2023For the Canterbury Waterstones advent calendar, I chose two books that I adored and that I know customers won't have heard of. The gorgeously gothic Welcome to Dead Town Raven Mckay 👻 by @eibhliscarcione.bsky.social and the wonderfully weird Walking Practise 👽 by @dolkimin @EveryWithWords 152
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 30/11/2023Congratulations to #katherinerundell on Impossible Creatures being Book of the Year! 🎉 Here is my review and a lovely display created by James and Judith at Waterstones Canterbury. It's so pretty, and my review is in a frame on it! 😍 011
Emma Pullar @emmapullar.bsky.social · 25/11/2023Day out at the Tenterden Christmas Market. It was lovely to see my nan (even if I did almost tip her out of her wheelchair, which made her laugh) and my aunt, uncle, and cousins. The Christmas season has officially begun! 🎄🎁🎅 020
