WOW! What an amazing launch for Twisted50 Vol3! I had the best time presenting awards to the winning writers. It was wonderful to see @kate_elisa123 @londonswf (AKA Chris Jones) @elinorperrysmith @darkmarkwriting and a huge thank you to @lanes_library_ and @michela.hibbett for coming with me!

This one is for the writers. I need a new laptop. Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I haven't bought a laptop in six years. Many thanks.

Delivered some bookish cupcakes to @waterstonesashford today and was given a lovely tour of the new bookshop. I'll post a video of the shop over the weekend once the locals have had a chance to visit. Well done to Alfie and the Ashford team. You've done an amazing job. The shop looks beautiful! 📚✨️

I agree. A lot of parents tell their kids what to read. This never works. As a bookseller and a mother of three, I suggest showing kids every type of book and then allowing them to CHOOSE. Works like a charm. 😊

When you ask people about the books that changed their lives, they almost always mention a children's book. They're the books that make us readers, shape us at the deepest levels, and stay with us FOREVER. That's why I think children's books are the most important books of all! #kidlit #books

I've been at Canterbury Waterstones for a year (five years as a bookseller and three years running events) and what a year it has been! Transferring to a bigger bookshop was a little bit scary but it was the best decision. Thank you to all the authors who came to visit. You are awesome! 🎉

For the Canterbury Waterstones advent calendar, I chose two books that I adored and that I know customers won't have heard of. The gorgeously gothic Welcome to Dead Town Raven Mckay 👻 by @eibhliscarcione.bsky.social and the wonderfully weird Walking Practise 👽 by @dolkimin @EveryWithWords

Day out at the Tenterden Christmas Market. It was lovely to see my nan (even if I did almost tip her out of her wheelchair, which made her laugh) and my aunt, uncle, and cousins. The Christmas season has officially begun! 🎄🎁🎅

I've completed the first week in my new bookshop, and what a lovely week it has been. Lots of hugs and laughs with those who already know me. I've been selling loads of children's books by author friends. Can't wait to get into the events with Rachel next year. Good times. 🥰

Hello lovely people of Bluesky. Can I ask a favour? This platform feels like a friendly place to be, and I would like to build my bookish network here before I leave the bin fire that is X. Can anyone recommend publishing industry people to follow who might also like to follow me? Thank you. 😊

What a great event to celebrate @whatSFSaid's Tyger. It was so nice to see not only excited children but adults, too. Here is my favourite quote of the evening from SF. "A children's book is a book for everyone."
