I was today years old when I learnt you don't calculate dog to human years by x 7 anymore, there's some new formula that accelerates their first couple of years, slows down later years and changes with their size... too hard, fuck it, I'm sticking with x 7🤷🏻‍♀️🐶

Penny Wong declares that aid workers "must always be protected" and that AUS is about "practical action". I don't remember any practical action after Israel murdered Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom or the IDF abused humanitarians on the Global Sumud Flotilla. 🤔 #auspol #SanctionIsrael
Text of a tweet on X by AUS FM Penny Wong: Aid workers must always be protected, especially during conflict. Today I met with @ignaziocassis, whose leadership on this is deeply valued. Hi lovelies, still in medical care, dogs well looked after, brain's ~30% online (from ~5%) so improving. I shared below elsewhere last week, wanted to share here too, dawned on me similar discussions occurred here. On a month off social media, won't reply to comments, sorry. Love, hugs & thanks B💜
Thread by Bridie (EBK) @EmergencyBK • Jul 5

Been advised to stay off social media, however want to clarify & say a few things.

First, To Jo of Planet Earth,
In addition to my multiple apologies on Monday, again I'm deeply sorry for the harm & trauma you've experienced & continue to, from repulsive, unwanted DM... 1/|

...Also, I'm sorry for my public comments on Mon., worsening the situation & upsetting you further.
I condemn the explicit & vile DM's you received from lan.

I inserted myself where I shouldn't have.
I was wrong.

You were also verbally told my thoughts from..2/

...a person who, 1. Thought I was having private phone call with & 2.
Tone/info. you received was incomplete & inaccurate.

Now also claims to be 'only person knew my address, call 000 & save me' - also misconstrued & incomplete, I appreciate hers & many others.. 3/
... efforts to help me, eternally grateful.

Jo, I wish you a healthy, safe & happy present & future.
With kindness & regret,
Bridie

... care of another medical unit.
Weds night - I posted from hospital to let ppl know I was ok. 100's of replies, DM's, texts & missed calls, worried for me, wanted to ally fears.
Friday -told by friend a GoFundMe set up for me, was never asked/informed about it by creator...5/

... did not want it, never looked at it.
I posted, demanding it be shut down. Thanks for kindness to anyone who donated, I hope all will be refunded. I've no access to or control over account.

lan, who created the GFM has since posted, lying about why GFM...6/... was shut down 'due ppl trolling me' - this is false.

He's been v. kind & supportive of me in the past, this does not negate recent actions & lies, am ceasing all ties.

To those of you who care, are supportive, concerned, kind, reached out, helped save my life & more....7/

...massive thank-you, appreciative more than words can express.

Also seen ppl stating that because I have mental illnesses/disabilities I shouldn't be on social media, this is a repugnant, ableist take on me & 1 milli+ Australian's with Ml's who are already stigmatised due...8/

... to condition/s & have much to contribute.
There's times when symptomatic I shouldn't be on SM, I've got better last few years at removing myself during these times. This week I failed.
Taking ~month off from all social media.
Best wishes & kindness,
Bridie xx
... 9/

10/ Final Note: I tried on Monday and Saturday this week to reach out privately to Jo to chat/talk and failed.
The fault for this lies completely with me, no-one else.
I didn't want to do this publicly, but wanted it said and clarified, now
