Good to hear and wise, we all need to be buckling up for an unprecedented hot and dry one, take care 💜

Bridie (EBK) @emergencybk.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Hey Liz, sorry for my tardiness, the doggos are doing their best 'angel' impressions as usual, but I do love that they keep my spot warm for me when I'm gone💜

Bridie (EBK) @emergencybk.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Yep and I know the dogs don't care, so... 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

Bridie (EBK) @emergencybk.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Awww sounds gorgeous, as long as happy and (reasonably) healthy, no calculations matter 💜

Bridie (EBK) @emergencybk.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Greg I so relate, I tried to teach my dogs how to calculate aerodynamic lift of an aerofoil with a simple formula that includes the coefficient of lift and they just licked their own butts and went to sleep. Worst. Students. Ever.🙄 It's like they don't even care...

030

Bridie (EBK) @emergencybk.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Yep, like humans it is individual too, with some aging faster/slower, regardless, also the dogs don't know or care. If they're happy and (reasonably) healthy, that's a win, regardless of any calculations 💜🐾

Bridie (EBK) @emergencybk.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Sadly and knowingly agree. Calculating equivalent ages, whatever method makes no difference, every furry family member I've lost I still grieve for and whether in a few months or few years I will lose my current beloved 2 dogs, regardless of human age equivalency. 11 & 14yrs💜💜🫂🐾🐾

Benson looks gorgeous, I love cats. Both cats and dogs have an amazing ability to use even their small frames to dominate any piece of furniture they use🤣 or should I say, their furniture, they allow us to squeeze on the edge of.

Bridie (EBK) @emergencybk.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Yes, size is also mentioned in my post, but I don't think the dogs really care and I'm just... lazy too🤣 Regardless of calculated equivalent age, if they're happy and (reasonably) healthy, it's a win😁

I'm a bit late, sorry, but evening Ann and thanks for gorgeous pic of Odin, had a lovely day, hope yours was too ☀️💜

I'm a little tardy but good evening Emma and thanks for gorgeous pic of one of your (many) furry family members, had a lovely day thanks, hope yours was too xx

Bridie (EBK) @emergencybk.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

💜agree, but I'm totally biased

010

Bridie (EBK) @emergencybk.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

I was today years old when I learnt you don't calculate dog to human years by x 7 anymore, there's some new formula that accelerates their first couple of years, slows down later years and changes with their size... too hard, fuck it, I'm sticking with x 7🤷🏻‍♀️🐶

Yes, heat seeking missiles, think our scent too and always with that look 'what, I was always here, what do you want?'😂I pretend to grumble about it, but wouldn't want it any other way, furry family are the best💜 Coffee's delicious, due for a 2nd, hope your day is wonderful too.☀️😊

On return from 2 mins kitchen coffee run doggo’s took my spot and gave me their ‘we’ve always been here🤷🏻‍♀️’ looks. Got back in and they spread right out😂 Good coffee & morning☕️

Excellent, love it.✈️ I've had this treasured, beautiful 1942 made leather, suede lined, flying cap for 30+ years, same model/year made, as what Amelia Earhart wore. ✊ (picture actually added this time 🙄🤣)

Chris Heaney of 3XY once said that he was out somewhere and was asked about his job, he replied that he was a Radio DJ, they responded: "Yeah, but what's your real job?"

Penny Wong declares that aid workers "must always be protected" and that AUS is about "practical action". I don't remember any practical action after Israel murdered Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom or the IDF abused humanitarians on the Global Sumud Flotilla. 🤔 #auspol #SanctionIsrael

Text of a tweet on X by AUS FM Penny Wong: Aid workers must always be protected, especially during conflict. Today I met with @ignaziocassis, whose leadership on this is deeply valued. With partners, we are turning political commitment to the Declaration for the Protection of Humanitarian Personnel into practical action.

Yes same, heater still on at night still for sure, but the sun's starting to radiate some actual warmth during the day which is lovely, and with all forecasts for record El Niño this Summer, think we're in for a long and very hot one.

Watching this shift in perception and reaction in real time is great to see, let's hope to see more of it, more dominoes fall, so more pressure is put on leaders to actually act too.
