I like Mamdani and I don't think he means it that way either, which is why this is a disappointing statement. Someone in good faith can see his statement in the negative way. I hate to do this but...with any other minority group or country many people would easily identify why the statement is bad.

Was talking to some guys and the topic of hosting came up. It was refreshing to hear someone outright state "I don't want an apartment complex in the neighborhood because it would bring lower income people". No side stepping about parking, character, etc.. But also a bit sad ultimately.

Has your attitude about the cleanliness of the home changed since doing it? I ask because, I recall once, my wife said that she'd like to do more parties but she's always self conscious about making sure the house is spotless before anyone comes over. So the precursor to any party becomes hectic.
