I was talking with some friends the other day about how it feels asking for any minor approvement Is met with "sorry, we don't have any change to spare" and then as soon as it comes to anything else all the money gets improvement. Even just like. Reprogramming traffic lights for buses. :(

Me too. Whenever I'm working on something, I ask my partner and my friends who come over what they think, hoping desperately they'll have some insight I dont have, so that I have more to learn and look up to. So that I know I'm actually as good as I think. So I can learn from them instead

i think to some degree I dont feel super comfortable having authority on a topic I know I'm very good at what I'm good at but i seek outside approval partially because it means that someone else might be more authoritative than me Relieving me of my own authority on the subject. I get to listen

To appease wealthy residents, The City of Ottawa is spending millions of dollars trying to block the redevelopment of this golf course in Kanata. Compared even to one of the lowest income parts of the city, Kanata Lakes pays very little in property taxes. The city can't afford this.
