I was wondering why my wards were throwing up so many alarms during the full moon. I reached out my front door to grab something and saw this🤦🏽‍♀️ Note: I don’t place welcome mats at the doorways to my house since not every entity is welcome in my space! (My housemates do not understand this) #witchsky

Let’s bring back enchanting your makeup. I have no idea how it fell out of style, but let’s bring it back. Warding concealer, grounding foundation, glamour lip gloss, it doesn’t have to be complicated! Speak a little incantation over the container and you’re good to go! #witchsky

Speaking of fun...It's so important to take magick and spirituality seriously, yes, but finding joy, comfort, and wholeness in it is equally important. We're doing magick! Magick! For real! Isn't that the coolest? It's fun! 🥰

One tour later and I’m settled in for the rest of the season (as far as I know LOL)! If I ever fall off the side of the world, it’s probably because I’m on the road🎵🚌 What did I miss?

In my practice, fog indicates the presence of a liminal space. As I stepped outside with my dog this morning, I was greeted with a dense fog that shrouded my street. Tonight is Hekate’s Deipnon, so I’d say the fog is a well placed reminder from the goddess of liminal spaces. #hekate #newmoon

When you cleanse your veils, make sure you also cleanse any clips, pins, magnets, or ties you use to secure them to your head! Negative energy can build up in the smallest of items, especially when you’re reusing them multiple times without removing stale energy. #paganveiling #witchsky #veiling

Veiling from an animistic standpoint is so interesting. I can hear and feel specific veils calling me to wear them on a specific day, like they know that I’ll need extra protection in the area they can help with! #paganveiling #witchsky #animism

Be wary of how you choose to organize and mobilize. Not every app is safe, and most won’t protect you if you’re brought in front of a judge for your acts of resistance. End-to-end encryption apps are safer, but honestly, planning should take place in-person with no phones present. #safety #protest

My main plan for my day off is cleaning up my room. You may be thinking to yourself “wow, they must have a lot of clothes and trash on the floor.” Nope, it’s all witchy books or reference materials. Sometimes, a floor is just another table if you don’t have tabletop space to spare😂

How do you choose decks for readings? When I’m trying to pick a deck to use in a reading, it’s like I’m pulled a few minutes into the future and I see myself reading with a specific deck. Then, I’m pulled back into the present and I choose the deck I was using in the vision. #witchsky #tarotsky

Whenever I think about my path as a green death witch, the show Agatha All Along comes to mind. Death *is* the original green witch. Creation and death are two sides of the same coin, so green witchcraft and death witchcraft are paths that can run into and merge with each other.

If you struggle with energy headaches, I highly recommend veiling. It’s a great way to put up a protective barrier between yourself and the world around you. You can veil with a scarf, hat, bandana, protective hairstyle, basically anything that can rest on your head! #witchsky #paganveil

I’m a Black, LGBTQ+, disabled witch. In a system that would see me wither and die, my magic in all its forms keeps me alive. It’s how I keep my people safe. It’s how I fight back. My magic and activism go hand in hand. My page reflects my entire self, not just the parts that are easy to digest.

After today, get used to this: DO NOT post photos that contain the faces of protesters online. Your phone should be OFF at protests going forward. When you’re speaking out against injustices enacted by a violent system you need to move carefully. That ability is taken away the second you hit post.

Keep your eyes open and be prepared for anything. Wear an N95 + bandana for protection. Write important numbers on your arms. Phone’s off. Know where you’re going *and* how to get out if something happens. If you are new, be home before dark. Be safe, I love y’all. #protest #march #safety #tips

The hours leading up to an invocation feel almost unreal. I feel the pull towards my goddess get stronger and stronger, and her energy hangs heavy in the air. My soul is enveloped by a warmth that falls onto my shoulders like someone’s hands guiding me to where I’m meant to be. #Hekate #pagansky

If you’re in the US and you rely on the internet for the reference texts you use in your craft, it’s time to get them in print. The internet is not an eternal resource. Websites are taken down, things are censored, texts disappear, make sure you have what you need to keep yourself afloat❤️ #witchsky

Familiar spirits can take *any* form. Yes, certain animals have long been associated with witchcraft and other magical traditions, but that does not mean that familiar spirits will appear in those forms! It’s normal for a spirit to take the form of something you’ve never seen! #witchsky #spirits

They’re good for almost all goals! Pacts help specify the focus of the work that you wish to pursue with a being. If you wish to follow certain paths and leave others alone, a pact can help! If a new spirit enters you craft, a pact is sealed either immediately or after a trial period. It varies!

El @elthealchemist.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

Magical law is such a fun concept and one of my special interests in my practice! The forging of a formal magical pact with a spirit is a powerful tool that you have at your disposal. Sometimes, verbal agreements are not enough. What are your questions? Ask them here and I’ll answer! #witchsky

If a witch ever comes along and says “there’s only one way to do ____” or “I do it right but everyone else does it wrong,” do me a favor and run away. There’s no singular “right” way to practice. Your craft is *yours* and it is powerful. Be proud of all you’ve accomplished. #witchsky #witchcraft

Older Witch Tip: It's important to be well rounded in basic topics/aspects in the Craft. From there, "specialize" in what calls to you, what you have a knack for, where your niche is. If you end up working in a group, this becomes even more valuable. #WitchSky #WitchMentor #FolkWitch #Pellor

Here’s a tip for spiritual travelers: If you take an extended break, take your time getting back into your travels. Landscapes can change. Routes can change. Don’t get lost trying to rush back in. Update your maps, walk your paths, see what’s new. It’s okay to take it slow🤍 #witchsky #hedgewitch
