I went to law school to study the Constitution. A professor called on me about rights, but the only one I could think of was free speech. I drew a blank. That’s what popped into mind here. Welker’s dumb Q had so many answers, he couldn’t land on specifics. I think.

The issue is characterizing criticism of policy/officials as “tearing down Dems.” How else are they to know what we expect? Apparently, it’s never OK to criticize Dems, but during their job interviews is when we have leverage. I’ve been a Dem for 40 years. This is how democracy is supposed to work.

We used the Costco app, primitive but effective, and we put the photos in the right time period with his stories which I mainly left in his own words. The hardback books were about $25 each, and we printed one for each immediate family member. They’re cherished now. Don’t lose your family story.

A friend just went through 3 months of watching her father die, and it reminds me of doing that with my stepdad a dozen years ago. In his last weeks, my mom asked me to get his life story from him—we talked in depth about new things—and when he was gone, we took photos and made the Book of (him).
