I think even if you disagree with Taylor about the harms of social media, it's clear that the proposed legislative "solutions" such as KOSA are not actually intended to "protect kids" but to increase digital surveillance power and increase monopoly power of tech giants.

so far i've contacted 78% of the Senate to urge them to outlaw generative AI and the training of LLMs completely, and 98% to urge them to stop KOSA/the KIDS act, Digital ID mandates, biometric surveillance, and all mass surveillance and mass censorship. if you have not done this as well you should.

They are both looking at the repercussions of the legal precedent. This is similar to KOSA, which sounds good but when you look at the effects it is a major erosion of privacy rights. PP in particular is very attuned to laws that affect bodily autonomy with minors.
