Scooby Doo taught us that the real monsters were actually humans. And also sometimes zombies or aliens or witches or a sentient computer virus or a tiny dog

Yeah, when did youtube interviewers collectively decide that they needed every video to open with a trailer advertising itself?? Same energy as prime interrupting the show I’m watching to give me an ad for the show it just interrupted

Ultimately, it’s not a big deal, but what a terrible PR move for U2!! Can’t imagine it affected Apple in any way, but the backlash definitely made U2’s image slip from “kinda cool indie-rock protest band with mainstream appeal” to “corporate shills” and they never really recovered

But forcibly adding it to everyone’s library while making it really complicated to remove felt less like “Let’s make this album accessible to everyone!” and more like “You WILL listen to it, whether or not you want to.”

June Lucien Rossaert @electricmosswitch.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

The way they did it always pissed me off a little tbh. If they had made the album a free download on ITunes and advertised the hell out of it, that would have been really neat!

It’s The Muppet Show! The premise is already made!! What’s the “disagreement”? It’s 0% a creative problem, they just don’t want to fund it because they’re cowards who are afraid it’ll flop, so they’d rather just hold on to the copyright and do nothiiiing 🙄

I think it’s one thing to have ignorant beliefs - every single person in the world has been ignorant about something at some point in their life Dedicating so much time, energy and money towards dehumanizing a group of people is so, so much worse than just being ignorant

June Lucien Rossaert @electricmosswitch.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

I always make a point to clarify that her transphobia is not a case of passive ignorance, but active bigotry Some people seem to think that she’s being maligned over a few bad tweets, so stressing how politically damaging and singularly obsessed she’s been for YEARS tends to shift the narrative

Tim Curry and Dolly Parton have taught us not only that you should be bigger, weirder, gayer, and freakier, but also that those qualities are what people will love about you. The things that make you strange and amazing are the things that will resonate with other strange and amazing people

Some people would like to think that they can get away with just about any crime no matter how heinous. If the richest and most powerful people in the world are unable to cover up their evil crimes forever, that doesn’t bode well for the p*dophiles who aren’t rich and powerful

When you’re undergoing psychosis, you are completely disconnected from reality. You believe, because of an illness which is outside your control, things that are not true. And you act on those beliefs, which can be really dangerous.

June Lucien Rossaert @electricmosswitch.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

But why is it so poorly photoshopped?? Surely they can afford a graphic artist who can smooth out the edges and adjust the lighting so that it doesn’t look like a toddler cut out a wedding photo from a magazine and glued it to a stock photo of a beach 💀

Actually, it’s morally wrong to abstain from buying a video game created using unethical means. Think about it, if we all do that, how will Timmy afford his fifth yacht? :(

No, they aren’t descendants of immigrants. Not for the most part anyways. They are the descendants of colonizers, and they are using the same genocidal rhetoric that their ancestors used.

That’s… that’s the beginning and end of the book. They’re skipping the beginning and ending of the book… Why are they arbitrarily picking whole sections of the book to skip? What? 😭

There are people in real danger in the US right now. If some of them can escape that danger by coming to Canada, them we ought to welcome them with open arms. Why would we hold it against them that they did not wish to move until their country started to openly oppress them? I’d want to move too!

Well “Sex and Violence” was the original subheading for the pilot of The Muppet Show, so I think it’s still on brand!

Sure, casting Jared Leto to play a villainous character in a blockbuster didn’t work for Suicide Squad, Morbius, Haunted Mansion, or Tron: Ares…. But maybe, just maybe, it’ll work out for Masters Of The Universe

I feel unstoppable tbh!! This is me on just 10mg of vyvanse, the absolute lowest possible dose. If I can get just one day like this per week I’ll be set for life!!

I’m used to not being able to do anything beyond drink coffee until like 1 pm. I still have energy!! I’m about to go work on a grad school assignment! Is this how people feel?? You can just do stuff and it doesn’t drain your body and soul?? This is fucking awesome!!

I just started ADHD meds yesterday and I can’t believe how productive I’ve been this morning??? I did the dishes, vacuumed my couch, finished unpacking, swept my apartment, took out the trash, found, brought back to my apartment and assembled a table that was being thrown out and it’s only 12:30!?

June Lucien Rossaert @electricmosswitch.bsky.social · 11/01/2026

But when people go out of their way to TRY to misgender someone it’s just baffling to me. Like what kind of pure hate do you have in your heart to be putting in so much energy towards trying to ruin someone’s day who’s just existing??

030

June Lucien Rossaert @electricmosswitch.bsky.social · 11/01/2026

Why do transphobes feel the need to twist and contort their own language just in an effort to make someone else uncomfortable? I truly don’t get it. I’m non-binary, so I’m very used to getting misgendered. I get that people who aren’t used to they/them pronouns will mess up sometimes. All fine!

Agreed, and it’s also wild to me because you can make your own cover really easily even if you aren’t an artist. Text on a plain colour background, maybe add a few lines for flourish can be a great cover! Anyone can do it, even if they don’t have the budget to hire an artist.

But having played the Sims… that’s still characters at the end of the day. You’re telling stories, you’re not just abusing a chatbot - it’s not the same thing

Kindred is one of the best novels ever written, great choice!

020

June Lucien Rossaert @electricmosswitch.bsky.social · 31/12/2025

I feel like the difference here is that when you’re playing a game, you’re usually playing a character, not yourself. To me, playing a game as an evil character feels very different from interacting with a chatbot as yourself and being cruel to it
