Several years ago l invited a Buddhist monk to speak to my Senior elective class, and quite interestingly, as he entered the room, he didn't say a word (that caught everyone's attention). I get this (hemiplegic migraines) and it’s always my left side. My face droops and I find it hard to talk too. I don’t get them as often anymore (thank you pizotifen!) but it can still be scary, so I feel you on this one!

Good thread on why it’s not great to pirate books from marginalised authors! Usually I would be all for stealing shit, but marginalised authors need that money to live, to carry on writing the books you apparently love so much—*especially* if they’re self-pubbed.

Aww thanks! Goblins get a raw deal a lot of the time, I think. There’s also histories and arguments based on eg Tolkien’s work that makes the case this was due to racist metaphors, so I’m trying to unpack that a bit!

I haven’t noticed any health benefits (or negatives) from switching from coffee to herbal teas, but seeing as I drink loose leaf, I do get to feel like a forest-dwelling witch in a cosy cottage instead of a caffeinated hobgoblin every time I have a cup, so I reckon that’s a winner
