Took some snaps with my freshly repainted garden table! It took a few weeks of sanding, repairing the uneven areas with wood filler and adding a few coats of paint, but I’m so pleased with how it turned out. #diy #homedecor #painting

Had a lovely time at the Topsham Flower & Vegetable Show yesterday. It was wonderful to see everything people had grown in the local allotments, and how beautifully it had all been displayed. Everyone seemed so pleased with their flowers and produce - a really lovely afternoon! 🌸🌿

I've had an idea for a new photography project. Unfortunately, the garden table I've used for a few of my previous projects has seen better days, so I've had to sand it down before giving it a fresh coat of paint. DIY definitely isn't my forte! 🤦‍♀️

It was my birthday a couple of days ago! I went on a short trip to the seaside in Exmouth and had such a lovely day. ☀️

Went to an Alanis Morissette gig a recently. She was fantastic and gave an incredibly strong vocal performance! Seeing such an iconic artist from the 90s felt like witnessing a piece of pop culture history. I can’t claim to be a longtime fan but it was a privilege to see her perform nearby.

I've been thinking lately about attention. The internet rewards what captures it. But very little helps us cultivate it. I wonder if, somewhere along the way, we've forgotten that attention is also something we can give - that noticing is a practice.

It's too hot for anything other than a camisole at the park. My dog isn't a fan of the weather and demanded to be carried. 🐶☀️😂

plus the following text
Creativity and chronic illness
Art, and creativity in general, is something that brings meaning to the lives of many people. It can be hard to take part in or get access to when you’re chronically ill. Here we shine the light on some ingenious artists, photographers, writers and more. They sometimes work alone, sometimes with others, and their work is informed by their experience of chronic illness.

Here is one of the images from the series (taken on Polaroid 669 film). #polaroid #peelapartfilm #vintagefilm #analoguephotography

A green-blue Polaroid image shows several glass bottles on a table, one holding feathers. One butterfly is visible under a bell jar; another appears on the tablecloth. The image appears faded and speckled, with visible chemical residue and torn edges. Background elements are softened and partially obscured.

I just saw a short film that made me reflect on the relationship between imagination and grief. We often think of imagination as forward-facing - a way of creating possibilities, or anticipating what might be. But grief suggests that imagination also works in another direction.

I made this little resin turtle with shell fragments and semi-precious stones, and I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. I also made a sea-themed coaster using resin and black sand. I’ve been finding crafting really helpful for unwinding lately. #crafting #resin
