I remember the work you had me beta read. It was wonderfully simple in that your honesty was raw and accessible, which made it so much more powerful. A silk gown is often beautiful, but the universality of a t-shirt paints a tangible image anyone could feel.

Crappy day—Two pieces recently rejected, but I'm still proud of them and because of feedback and having written a poem, I just wrote a second poem a few days ago. Crappy day beats the rejections, cause I understand the mag's mission, but still. I think I just need a hug and encouragement.

There's a place, not far from where I live, where the remnants of a small railroad bridge are only the supports and a wooden structure. Grass covers the little hills that were once connected. You know what else might be cool a "Coming soon" sign overgrown with vines. An empty lot behind.

Wooooo!!! I'm working full-time this year, so my creative self will be wandering the catacombs of my skull until I can get a rhythm down. I am looking forward to work, it's just gonna be very different and can be taxing. Congrats on back to school, gaming, and painting!
