The High Peak Trail in the Peak District follows the line of a former railway, running along the top of an old embankment through sunlit grassland beneath a soft blue sky. Once part of the Cromford and High Peak Railway, the trail passes near Minninglow Hill, where a tree‑crowned summit shelters a Neolithic chambered tomb and two Bronze Age bowl barrows.
