Tony @eightbittony.bsky.social · 9hUkraine have a difficult challenge, beat Russia without becoming Russia. And without giving Putin an excuse to respond with tactical nuclear strikes. At the moment their attacks hurt Russia and make the people question Putin. If they bomb Moscow, people will support Putin. 000

Tony @eightbittony.bsky.social · 12/10/2026So, Ukraine defends its own skies, hold Russia in place, hopes Putin is toppled and the replacement decides to abandon 'Putin's folly' as a strategy, leaving Ukraine? 020
Tony @eightbittony.bsky.social · 12/10/2026That was my thought, if Ukraine can reduce the impact of inbound airborne munitions, but Russia can't do the same, then Ukraine has the upper hand. But to do what? It still can't push troops back, so it has to negotiate, and negotiating from a position of strength vs Putin doesn't matter. 110

Tony @eightbittony.bsky.social · 08/10/2026The better the coder, the better they are at managing multiple constraints and still delivering a solution that meets them which includes but is not limited to, 1. maintainability 2. provable alignment to requirements 3. deterministic testing support 4. alignment to architecture and infosec policy 290

Tony @eightbittony.bsky.social · 08/10/2026and then fed that all back in again to those 10,000 developers and asked for the *next word* that would be a close approximate to what an LLM is doing. Unless that changes, then the current crop of LLMs won't get 'better' or 'more accurate'. They have no internal structure 140
Tony @eightbittony.bsky.social · 08/10/2026LLMs are constrained by the existing corpus of content, and they can be refined by post-training processes, but they are token predictors. If you got 10,000 software developers in a room, and fed them the same prompt you feed an LLM, and then took the most common response for the *next word* 150
Tony @eightbittony.bsky.social · 08/10/2026You can added complexity in front with orchestrators, and you can add more and more traditional code around the edges to massage things, but then you're just back to 4GLs and automated code writing dreams of COBOL. 160
