IDEA Leadership for RetentionIs your school struggling to find and keep special educators? You are not alone. With over half of public schools needing to fill these positions every year, school principals are asking for practical solutions to address this persistent and deep-rooted challenge.

This free toolkit helps school leaders examine how scheduling decisions shape access to services and supports, especially for students with IEPs, multilingual learners, and students whose needs aren’t always reflected in traditional school structures. It provides practical guidance for building schedules where inclusive support is integrated from the beginning.

Educators can only extend to learners the conditions that are extended to them.
