Something slightly dystopian about the new Costa coffee machines that play you the sound of human baristas and cafe background burble whilst you get your soulless £3.60 robolatte before returning to the M4.

So proud of this shot and the impeccable team of professionals that all had to be on their A game to deliver the result you should definitely go watch right now on Apple TV+ ❤️

Used my DJI Ronin 4D for this… taking advantage of the superb connected sets to walk the camera down one alleyway, then a perfectly executed hand-off onto a magnetic clamp on a computer controlled winch rig which took it out over the void.

MILD SPOILER ALERT: Here’s how we pulled off the opening shot of Silo ep 5. A lot of brilliant team work from cameras, grips, ADs, and VFX. More behind the scenes in replies…

God I hope we get back to those heady peaks of like, the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony being live tweeted by basically everyone. Absolute zingers popping up every dozen tweets. Felt very special.

It’s sad we’ll never see the scene of the shark sort of ineffectually poking the body back in with its little flipper and UH OH the head flops out again, shark makes a 😮‍💨 face, then a foot pops out etc etc

Thought it was an interesting choice to massively underplay the musical aspect in the trailer. Wonder how many people were like WAIT THERE ARE SONGS?

Yes I’ve now realised Threads was just our rebound and we eventually realised they were just abusive and weird in a different way. Whereas we can… settle down and raise kids with Bluesky?

The 6YO is obsessed so we have watched all 7,000 episodes of the various spinoff low rent animated series and most of them seemed to have at least the good sense to try some new ideas in the Toothlessverse. This though, is just... what a waste. I bet they've fucked up Test Drive.

How does Toothless look somehow MORE CG than the animated film? Looks like a PS1 game.

Two years ago today, somewhere over North Wales, we watched as our Airbus A330 formed up on us to shoot the air to air sequences for HIJACK season 1. Four aircraft in a photographic ballet.

It’s day 35 of an unbroken streak of at least 10000 steps a day and I’ve discovered so many absolutely beautiful footpaths and bridleways (thanks to Strava and Komoot). Just a bit sad how oblivious most people are to their existence; I’ll see maybe a couple dog walkers every 45 min.
