My elderly but faithful Mustek A3 scanner's skeuomorphic interface makes a little twinkling Chinese Bell type noise when it opens. It used to enrage me c.2004 but now it's so incredibly dated that I find it charming.

This sunny Monday morning I'd like to shout out floppy disks for being surprisingly resilient. Lots of my #Amiga disks were kept poorly. Some were kept in atrocious conditions (damp). And they were never looked after to start with. They lived in school blazer pockets or on my bedroom floor.

My oh my. Adobe Illustrator gets crashier and crashier. Hasn't quit cleanly or liked to be minimised and restored for months. Still has some 30 year old bugs, like ghosts haunting the code. I have supernatural backstories for some of them.
