Occasionally I still make a contact with someone my age and their email address is crazyfunnygirl@ somthing or other. And theyre an educational psychologist or play worker and I have to respect them for sticking with it.

From my many trips to union conferences, I know that the views of the sorts of people who turn up and vote are poles apart from the typical views of membership. So, I hold on to that. But it makes me sick to my stomach and deeply worried.

I've been watching this in dismay. I felt I should leave the party - would love persuasive reason to stay. The motion is awful, the vote in favour is shocking and the absence of leadership from Polanski is more than troubling.
