Would deeply appreciate help. I am a disabled trans man from the global south. I am also the only person in my family who currently works. I have a life limiting condition that will end my life if not medicated. My insurance is only 350 usd a year, I dunno what else to do but ask for mutual aid

I want to thank everyone who’s shared the article and/or signed the petition. It was at 2500 when I published and my heart soared today when I saw it hit 3,000. Public pressure works. We can make a difference in Rodney’s life. Let’s keep fighting. Keep making noise. Keep demanding his release:

Bluesky is a wonderful place that has flourished in large part because of its artists and intolerance towards facists/Nazis. The Updated policy currently going into effect Oct 15 could fuck that up and we should be very vocal about it. Here are some specific things to mention in feedback (THREAD)

HOW TO LET BSKY KNOW THEIR POLICY CHANGES HARM ARTISTS: A GUIDE FOR MOBILE USERS! 🧵 Sending feedback is SUPER easy, and takes just a few clicks! 1. Open the left tab menu, and click that "feedback" button 2. Put your concern in the box. I'll copy paste a script to use! (CONT.)

Screenshot of the leftside menu tab of bluesky. Red lines are used to circle the "feedback" button. This will take you to the support page to submit a comment.

Screenshot of the form to send to bluesky. A script is written in the "concern" section, which is also copy pasted in the replies. The category selected is "product feedback/suggestions", and type of device is "android", because that's what I have. Further instructions are in the replies to this post.

Restricting the expression of sexuality through fiction and art made by adults, for adults – including those you find personally disturbing or offputting – is conservative censorship, full stop. When that censorship disproportionately affects subgroups, that's also discrimination. For shame.

Whenever sites come up with new rules like this I thing about how if you were a creator who was making something every bit on the level with a hugely popular and acclaimed series, would you be allowed to share it? Like, if you were sitting on the next Game of Thrones, you couldn’t share that here.

You might see several artists mad about the bluesky policy update banning non-con, even artists who do not make that kind of material, and wonder why it's such a problem. If that's you, here is a quick breakdown: 🧵

[Resonance] No one can resist the allure of the One Ring... Sauron's finest and most terrible creation. I submitted some Annatar cosplay photos for TRSB 2025! Read the matching fic by tyelperintal on ao3 when the collection goes live on Sep. 6. #annatar #tolkien 📸: @stargirlpictures.bsky.social

A picture of an Annatar cosplay from the Silmarillion. A hand with gold claw rings and chains hanging from them reaches out through a bush. The One Ring sits in Annatar's palm. The background is blurred.

A picture of an Annatar cosplay. Annatar holds out the clawed hand with the One Ring in his palm, eyes looking down at it. He has long lashes and gold eyeshadow. He has long blonde hair, a gold circlet with an eye pattern, and a gold halo crown that lights up. The focus of the shot is the One Ring and Annatar is blurred in the background.

WHY?
Visa, Mastercard, Stripe and Paypal have been censoring free speech and legal business on the internet for TOO LONG. Their most recent targets are Steam and Itch.io, but they have also been pressuring websites like Pixiv, Patreon, Fansly, Onlyfans and MORE for years, applying draconian standards for what kind of adult/pornographic content platiorms and their users can host and sell.

If we as consumers and creators want to regain ground on this issue, we have to make our voice heard.

HOW?
BOMBARD THEM WITH PHONE CALLS
Collective Shout, the organization that lobbied to have Steam and Itch.io change their TOS, did so with only around 1000 phone calls. Visa and MC have backed down from pressuring Onlyians to remove adult content entirely due to public backlash. Clogging their phone lines for an extended perlou, over a mont at the absolute least, will almost gudrantee that these compantes will at least have to pay attention to the backlash. this list is not exhaustive. but some contact points for the 4 targets are:

1. VISA:
(US + Can): +1 [8001-847-2911
US option selection for operator: 1-1-2 or 1-1-3

2. MASTERCARD:
(US): +1 (8001-307-7309
US option selection for operator: 1-1-2-2-2-1
Phone (outside US): 1-636-722-7111

3. STRIPE:
(Headquarters): +118881 963-8955
(France): +33 805-11-19-67
Stripe: complaints@stripe.com

4. PAYPAL:
(US): +1 (888)-221-1161
(outside US): 1-402-935-2050
Customer Service: +1 (877)-569-1116

TRY TO HIT ALL 4 TARGETS PER DAY

This is only going to have an effect if as many people possible call EVERY DAY for as long as possible.

THIS IS A MARATHON, NOT A RACE.

If you can, it is also a good idea to try to spread the word to organizations and groups that can either actively combat these huge companies legally, or can spread news, in a manner supportive of this movement, more effectively than your average person.

example of orgs:
ACLU
CCLA
govt representatives

exanple of spreading the news:
newspapers
special interest pubs
streamers
