Choosing to monetise your hobbies is one thing and being forced to commodify yourself and every part of your life is another. Personally I don’t want to be a brand, I want to be a human and an artist.

I've really been itching to get back to work on a super detailed costume... I think once the workshop's revamped it'll finally be time! (In 2027, I think it'll be time to do another fancy Lelouch...) 📸 = @stargirlpictures.bsky.social 💖 #cosplay #codegeass

A cosplayer portraying Emperor Lelouch from the Code Geass artbook by CLAMP turns in the breeze, a swirl of black and white and gold against a bright blue sky.

i know self-deprecation is cool but you have to be your art's biggest fan. you have to love and cherish and champion your art and talk about how wonderful it is. if even you don't believe in it, why should anyone else?

For @unwinnable.com's AI issue, I wrote about a thing that keeps happening to me where people insist I’m not allowed to have morals— or at least, not allowed to exercise them. When so many companies have said yes to AI, who decided we can't say no? unwinnable.com/2025/05/02/s...

After Two years I finally wore Purah!! I tried to do the best I can to bring her to life. I made her in hopes to enter her into a comp one day. I don’t love rushing my art so I’m glad she took as long as she did, even tho it was an emotional roller coaster. 😭 🌿 Everything was made by me. #zelda

❝I am your partner… no more, no less. A sharer of gifts… Annatar.❞ I realized I haven't shared this photo of my Annatar cosplay yet! He's so smug and delightful here... ✨would you forge Rings of Power with him? 💍 📸: @stargirlpictures.bsky.social #annatar #silmarillion #silvergifting #tolkien

A photo of an Annatar cosplayer looking down at the viewer with light from a window shining behind him. He has a hand with gold claw rings placed on his chest and he gives a smug smile. He wears an ivory robe with elaborate embroidery and has a long blonde wig with straight hair. He has a gold wire circlet with an eye pattern and red accents, and a gold halo crown. His ears are long and stick out from the wig, and has gold eyes. Taken at Katsucon 2023.

Just cause it’s been on my mind a lot lately: you do not have to wait for a big special cosplay to have a photoshoot. There is this weird pressure that your cosplay must be “good enough” to be photographed. This is simply just not true.

If you see this, post a cosplay that begins with A! Annatar, Lord of Gifts 💍 #silmarillion 📸 @stargirlpictures.bsky.social

A cosplay photo of Annatar from the Silmarillion. Annatar wears an ivory robe, a gold halo crown and gold circlet with an eye motif. He has long ears and gold eyes. His hand, covered in claw rings, reaches for a branch as he looks up at it. He has a peaceful expression. The sunlight is bright.

Cosplay photo of Annatar from the Silmarillion. He sits in the center of a white gazebo, hands lifted across from his shoulders, with a sinister yet inviting smile on his face. Annatar has platinum blonde straight hair, long lashes and long elf ears. He is wearing ivory robes and a cape, with gold embroidered accents and a gold sash. For jewelry, he has gold claw rings in his right hand and a gold halo crown, as well as a gold circlet. The circlet, sash and sleeves have eye motifs on them.
