Recently started a playthrough of Lufia. It's not super great. The amount of combat is pretty annoying. (I've finished 3 other games since I started) Lufia 2 is much better. Fun puzzles, a super dungeon, pets. It deserves to be played.

Mordheim is Rogue Factor's first game. We ran an early access at the time (10 years ago now). There are a few mods for it now, and I still see people playing it on steam, which is great.

Nintendo Music is a good service, but I wish it would also play music from other companies. I want to listen to Megaman, Rad Racer, Final Fantasy, Actraiser, etc. They do it for games, so no reason they couldn't for music, I expect.

I'm tired of the "-like" fad for describing video games. It's OK to categorize them instead of making them a derivative. recently I saw: A sokoban-like inspired by Adventures of Lolo. You can just say box pusher. I mean, a part from the pushing, Sokoban and Lolo have nothing in common.

I tested all my cartridge games and replaced three batteries. Crystalis NES Might and Magic III SNES Brain Lord SNES made it further than I had stopped on Crystalis.

On June 27, 1918, U-86 torpedoed the Llandovery Castle despite the ship being clearly marked as a Canadian hospital ship. The survivors in lifeboats were then gunned down by the submarine. Only 24 people survived. This is the story. 📸 McMaster University 🧵 1/10

I learned to like Double Dragon, and see it as a puzzle. The different enemies require different tactics. You want to level up correctly at the beginning, etc. Finished it this evening on the Retro Brawler Bundle on PS4 with heavy use of save states.

I've been seeing more and more retro gaming youtube channels that use fake AI screenshots of games that don't exist for their thumbs, AI voice overs and scripts that feel like they were written by AI. At that stage, what's even the point of following a creator?
