speedrun.com replaced its terms of use on 1 October 2026 and dropped the Creative Commons licence. What changed, why it matters for runners and community tools, and what you can do.

SRC changed their terms of use yesterday, and released a news post with an FAQ. They make it sound like not a big deal. It's a big deal. The Creative Commons licence is gone. They claim ownership over the data now. Thread about what this means, and what we can do about it 🧵

Pokopia speedrun, don't forget something for endgame challenge: impossible Started derusting this at the end of last week and I already feel fairly poised for a PB. Just need to not forget something (or 3 things like this run lol)

Speedrun splits for Pokemon Pokopia Any% completed in 2:37:54, missing PB by 2:18. Two splits from the end, the runner was 1:36 ahead meaning they lost a lot of time in the final sections of the game

Speaking of backstage. This was easily my personal BEST event when it comes to how I feel about the stuff I produced. I was able to a part of a lot of fun segments, but also a few important and powerful segments. That’s the stuff I live for, and I’m still so grateful for the opportunity I was given

It was to the point that I didn’t even really want to go to GDQ at all; I just wanted to stay home to stay with my family and take care of them. But overall I am glad I did. Callie is doing a lot better with each passing day, and we raised a TON of money for charity, and I’m happy to be a part of it

In the Uber, which means my event is officially over This one was a weird one for me going in. I shared it with a few people, but our 18 year old cat was diagnosed with lymphoma about 2 weeks before I left. This put a ton of stress on my wife to handle meds and vet visits, but she did great
