Four years, 80 meetings, and 5,000 screened studies later... Our meta-analysis is finally published in the European Journal of Personality! @eapp-official.bsky.social doi.org/10.1177/0890... 🔓 osf.io/preprints/ps... Some reflections: lnkd.in/p/dimRDvPW
Screenshot of a European Journal of Personality article page titled 'Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of the Relation Between Personality Traits and Preference for Traditional, Complementary, and Alternative Medicine,' by Danka Purić, Aleksandra Lazić, Ljiljana B. Lazarević, Sara Dojčinović, Damjan Đorđević, Kristina Đorđević and Zlata Hekić. The abstract describes a preregistered meta-analysis of 35 studies (k=405, N=44,434) finding that Big Five and HEXACO traits show negligible correlations with TCAM preference, while the Disintegration trait shows a small positive association. Below the abstract are two figures: a heatmap showing statistical power across effect sizes for each personality trait (Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Honesty/Humility, and Disintegration), and a bubble plot comparing the correlation between TCAM preference and Openness in USA versus non-USA samples, with bubble size representing precision.

There is a publication and a preprint that seem to be authored by me and Kimmo Sorjonen. *Both are fake* The paper is now retracted from the journal & OSF profile deleted. But I was approached at a conference by someone recently who had read the paper and taught it in a course. Just FYI!
