There are so many delicious plant-based foods, and yet people insist on trying to replicate meat or dairy products. There are hundreds of ways to make chickpea or soybean into something tasty, but none of them lead to a burger patty or a "chicken" nugget

I think any chance superhero movies had to be treated as serious media died with the MCU. Now everything has to be a shared "universe". It imposes, on a viewer, a constant requirement to care about the whole pantheon of characters and, on writers, unnecessary baseline constraints.

If you apply effort in a creative way you are creating art. This is a definition of art. Where there is no effort, there is only slop. Not art.

Package managers keep using git as a database, it never works out
Git repositories seem like an elegant solution for package registry data. Pull requests for governance, version history for free, distributed by design. But as registries grow, the cracks appear.

Btw, if an LLM provider tells you their system is so smart, it even tries to blackmail its users, then that's marketing. It makes for fantastic headlines in media who have no clue (which is most of them). The headlines should be: LLMs still too unreliable to be deployed in serious contexts.

This industry has chronic syndrome of premature revenge fantasy. Nobody will pay you for the quality of your code, and, face it, nobody ever did. Nobody will pay for a major rewrite of an AI generated database, they will pay the lowest bidder to slap together a patch on top of it. As it always were.
