People focusing on the Second Sons wearing masks in Kamloops need to realize that there are minimal consequences for residential school denialism when not wearing a mask. This politician is still in office, without a mask, representing a Vancouver district not a rural one.

Anti-fascism must have a decolonial lens. White nationalists are explicit in understanding the role colonialism plays in furthering their project - why haven't contemporary anti-fascists realized this on a broader scale? fighting fascists should mean extending solidarity to Native communities

the contemporary antifa movement in North America has been regrettably ignorant of how white supremacy operates along anti-Indigeneity - the longer this festers, the deeper the divide between two disparate yet potentially complimentary sectors of anti-state antagonisms will grow.

My second article for the day is about this morning's historic BC Supreme Court ruling in favour of the founders of the Drug User Liberation Front (DULF). The judge praised DULF's work, said a safe supply is necessary to save lives, and threw out charges of drug trafficking.

Unfortunately, that research is insufficient, misleading and dead wrong in many cases. Where 3.5% leads those changes they both don’t follow strict principles of non-violence and often come from more densely organized and unionized communities. We cannot expect mass participation to win on its own.

AP Stylebook warns against anthropomorphizing AI systems: “Avoid language that gives them human characteristics… Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.”
APStylebook @APStylebook

Artificial intelligence systems do not think, feel, want or understand. Avoid language that gives them human characteristics. This is called anthropomorphizing, when we ascribe human traits, emotions or behaviors to non-human things, such as animals or inanimate objects.
Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.
