Can someone ask Mayor Chow, @diannesaxe.bsky.social and @joshmatlow.bsky.social why it takes 20 minutes to get from Bloor to Union on the TTC? What is the plan for the dozen slow zones? Why are we moving forward with the terrible Eglington East LRT when you just proved the benefits of a busway?

I don't think people quite grasp the economic disaster that is online gambling and sports betting. It is draining billions of dollars away a year from every major city in North America right now. $85 Billion wagers in Ontario in 2025.

This is right. Which is why local government needs to focus on the physical city and *actually improve it.* In Toronto, the left has failed on both of those points.

Literally every week. Subway and then bus to Costco: 25 min door to door from the DT core, and I don't have to deal with the parking lot. Bring a collapsible cart and leave it at the exit with all the others who don't drive but somehow manage to feed their families

@toronto.ca @planning.cityof.toronto.ca @jasonthorne.bsky.social @joshmatlow.bsky.social Why are we being told on Line 1 that there is Metrolinx construction causing delays in the core? Why is it acceptable for 100s of thousands to learn of major delays after they board a train?

There has to be better crisis care than what TPS is providing. A homeless man has been in the back of the car for at least 90 minutes and one of the busiest bike lanes on Bloor has been blocked through rush hour @toronto.ca @joshmatlow.bsky.social (moved to your ward, apologies for being annoying)

Great tour with city Parks and Rec staff this afternoon. Some pretty neat activation spaces coming soon, but they'll need to expand their water taxi services if they expect to bring 10,000 over there for an event with no transit.

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

It took the entire summer for Toronto 311 to tell me they resolved my concern... (Dundas Streetcar road markings were basically gone and cars were blocking the left hand turn for 4-5 cycles). Hope they fixed it!

I had the pleasure of visiting local businesses with the Queen West BIA yesterday; my first community engagement event since joining the membership team at Destination Toronto. A city that people want to visit, is a city built on community.

There is a huge opening in Ontario for a left-wing party to make fiscal responsibility in public works one of their core pillars. We are needlessly setting billions of dollars on fire year after year because we cannot get procurement and project cost containment under control.

Waiting for the King Streetcar. 4 streetcars backed up. 5 personal cars driving straight through, but the intersection is blocked through a full light cycle anyways A massive failure from Chow, Myers, & Saxe. They should be hounded until they provide answers and solutions that justify reelection.

My Toronto Star take on festival challenges: 1. Crowds aren’t the problem; poor spatial planning is. Many festivals have outgrown the car-centric streets and spaces where they began. Their growth needs to be matched with permanent pedestrianization, better design, and placemaking approaches.

Saw Hadestown Pro-Shot last night. Brings back the joy of seeing the OG cast just before COVID. Great camera work that moved with the music and wasn't afraid of a long shot (though I think the show naturally lends itself really well to be filmed). Read Glenn's review and go see it!

Politicians from Brad Bradford to Josh Matlow are talking about more policing but none of them are talking about the widespread corruption we’re seeing in the Toronto force (or across Canada). I think this is a big problem.

Good morning Toronto
Varsity Stadium at 6 a.m., with an empty blue running track and green artificial-turf field in the foreground. The stadium’s red-brick wall displays the words “HOME OF THE VARSITY BLUES” beside the seating area. A glass-fronted athletic facility, a small white canopy, and surrounding downtown buildings sit beneath a soft pink-and-grey morning sky, with the CN Tower rising prominently in the background.
