Watched my local non-league side Yateley United play in FA Cup Preliminary Round yesterday, away @ Fleetlands FC (Gosport). 1st time in competition. Lost 3-0, but gave good account of ourselves + in initial round/replay. Chance to visit Lee-on-the-Solent, past the Diving, and the Hovercraft Museums!

The mindfulness of “slow photography”
Middle level - Cambridgeshire Fenland As a darkroom printer of over 40 years , to me it’s just photography….. you take a roll of film, put it in your camera , try your best at composing and judging exposure and click - it may be weeks or sometimes months before you see how that “raw” file turned out …. Then it’s into the darkroom to make a contact sheet, when it’s dry I sit with a red wax pencil marking up the frames I want to make prints from .

Finished reading another Mrs Bradley murder mystery. First published in 1932 (!), "The Saltmarsh Murders" by Gladys Mitchell is true to this prolific crime fiction series, yet no less peculiar or lurid. Ideal distraction.

Not sure from where the recommendation came but just finished reading "The Rising of the Moon" by Gladys Mitchell, first published 1945. Bit of light (or is that dark?) relief on book front. Prolific author. Bought three more titles in her Mrs Bradley series on strength of it. 📚
