Israel is still killing children every day in Gaza. Five-year-old Wafaa was murdered today by an Israeli drone strike on her family’s car on the way back from her first day at school.

• BREAKING: Five-year-old Wafaa
Yusuf Akilah went to school on Sunday.
It was her first day of the year. Israel killed her before she made it home.
An Israeli drone struck the vehicle carrying Wafaa and her father, Yusuf, near Hamid Junction in western Gaza City, killing them both without warning, witnesses told Drop Site.
In photographs, Wafaa smiles in her blue school uniform and gives a thumbs-up. At the site of the strike, her school books lay open atop the burned wreckage. Her small body lay face down in the street.Footage captured by Drop Site contributor Abdel Qader Sabbah shows two men holding pieces of her hair.
"This is all that's left, world," one says.
"What truce are you talking about?"
"There has been no ceasefire," another says. "Every day there are massacres.
Every day there is killing. Every day children are dying."
"Enough of this abandonment."

urbanpolitical.online
112 – Remaindered Life and the Architecture of Migration – Urban Political Podcast
Amid endless wars, authoritarianism, neocolonialism, and displacement, millions are being uprooted, while pervasive uncertainty grips millions more. As the world is remade through what some have described as neo-illiberalism, the very façade of humanitarianism, and indeed the boundaries of who counts as human, is beginning to unravel. Contemporary capitalism, imperialism, and colonial power produce vast populations whose lives are treated as disposable, surplus, or expendable. Yet the social worlds, forms of care, survival practices, and creative capacities of these populations continually exceed such imposed disposability. To understand the present conjuncture, we must attend to the “life-times” of migrants, informal workers, slum dwellers, and other populations rendered surplus by dominant political and economic orders.

"Intimacy is what happens when bodies come together in all of their messiness and ambivalence and are affirmed and cared for." --Margeaux Feldman, TOUCH ME, I'M SICK @beaconpress.bsky.social
possibilities for care and interdependence that make life not just possible, but pleasurable? Intimacy is what happens when bodies come together in all of their messiness and ambivalence and are affirmed and cared for.

Intimacy does not have to be threatened by hysteria. In fact, all intimacy is hysterical because intimacy requires that we might be deemed "too much" for someone else. But if we willingly situate our relationships within a landscape of hysterical intimacies, ambivalence and excess and the full spectrum of emotions are welcome: Within this exchange, in which I expose myself before you and you choose to stick around, you celebrate my too muchness-it might even turn you on. When it comes to hysterical intimacies, there's no such thing as oversharing, no pathologization of affects. If what I share "exceeds" the boundaries of what is deemed "normal" or "healthy," you, my intimate person, do not feel that what I've shared is too much. In fact, you'll respond by asking for more and you'll offer yourself up to me, letting me into those dark depths, so that the closeness we foster is built upon a reciprocal exchange. Neither of us is forced to be more or less vulnerable than the other.
