Big day for UK climate wonks tomorrow: the 7th Carbon Budget document is out. They only come around every five years, and these reports are pretty much the holy grail of what the UK has to do to get to net zero.

RTPI colleague just searched a *perfectly normal* query about aligning #housing and employment developments in Bing, and Copilot auto produced this absolutely insane dance-theme #AI summary that includes reference to: * Artisanal cheese tasting * Yurts * The cha-cha slide * 'Sad tango partners'

It's weird how satisfying it is that MHCLG has rebranded its Planning Super Squad as ATLAS 2.0

One of my biggest worries about AI as it relates to policy (I'm not talking about mapping the genome or whatever) is not that it's too powerful. It's that it's nowhere near as powerful as many think it is, and yet there's a drive to rebuilding decision making systems around it.

An fascinating job ad in lots of ways. Not least, the personal spec doesn't lead with experience of proactively creating brilliant places, but rather: "You will ideally... understand the challenges facing industry in securing approval for new development..."
