Luncheon: a corned beef teacakes…more like a small loaf. It was a rush between getting in from a meeting (yes a real one) and a Teams call. Corned beef, whole grain mustard & mayo.

Luncheon: a trip to the Rocket Store, Boscastle is turning into a highlight of our visits to Cornwall. We still don’t know whether the name reflects a history of storing rockets for maritime use; a garage for a particularly racy car or boat of the 1920’s; or a warehouse for salad leaves.

Luncheon: I fancied a lobster salad, but surprisingly none of the local eating establishments had it on their menu. Consequently, it was trusty Plan B…beans on toasted sourdough - the beans fortified with Worcester Sauce and topped with Parmesan cheese. Very satisfying!

I’m very disappointed to find the paper shop has closed down near to the hut in which we stay in Cornwall. A morning amusement was to address Mrs.N, in my theatrical voice, that we had not arrived at the paper shop sufficiently early because they had evidently sold out of the Yorkshire Post.

On our adventures today we discovered a new game set up in Barnstable. We matched all the yellow triangles with the red buckets, but that black bucket had us flummoxed. Although, looking at another game further on… We decided the instructions were unclear and went for luncheon.
